Our last trip of 2026 will take place on Friday, 27th November when we shall visit Saltaire near Shipley, West Yorkshire which was desgnated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001 and is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026.
The Grade II listed historic Salts Mill building was built in 1853 by Titus Salt alongside the village to house his workers.
Salts Mill is free entry and includes access to the extensive David Hockney Gallery. The site combines art, dining in the Salts Diner and shopping in one fascinating building. A general directory of shopping is available on the Salts Mill website. You will also be able to wander through Victorian streets or stroll along the Leeds/Liverpool canal.
