The Third Age Trust
The Third Age Trust is the central body which helps affiliated u3as with the legalities and challenges of running a charity. This includes Public Liability Insurance, a membership management system (Beacon) and a managed website (u3a SiteWorks). They issue a magazine called ‘u3a matters’ , and host a national website to disseminate information to visitors , u3a committees and members. There are links to on-linevents, news, support for interest groups and much more. It is well worth taking a look.

North West Region
The North West Region is one of 12 regional Networks in the UK. It covers Cumberland, Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester. They have an elected committee and a Trustee who represents the are on the Third Age Trust. The region provides a variety of support for u3as including training days, a summer school, a website and a newsletter. Please see the website for more details
