About the Interesting Buildings Group
- We visit places of interest usually once a month except in December.
- We are open to all members of the u3a. The number of places available for each visit depends on the venue.
- Some visits are free , others may have a charge for a coach, admission or a guide.
How to Book and Pay
- Visits will be publicised,
- A. On the groups page of the u3a website.
- B. In the enews.
- Our visits are open to all members of the U3A and places are allocated in the order of bookings are received.
- If you want to join us on a visit please contact us (quoting your u3a membership nnumber)
- A. via the email link on the website
- B.in person at the General Meeting or Coffee Drop In.
- C. Please do not pay by BACS before you have checked that there IS space available for your booking.
- Check that there is still a place available.
- Your name will be added to our list BUT if the visit involves a charge (e.g. for a coach) this must be paid within 14 DAYS or you name will be REMOVED from the list.
Refunds - If you have to cancel your booking please let us know.. We can only offer a refund IF someone else takes your place. We do sometimes have a waiting list of people who want to join us.
- Payment can be made either
- A. in person at a meeting by cheque made payable to St.Helens u3a Social Account, putting your u3a number and the name of the visit on the back of the cheque. ( If the payment is for more than one person please put their numbers on too). We are no longer accepting cash payments.
- B. by BACS to the u3a Social Account.

HOLIDAY TO COUNTY DURHAM - September 2025
The team would like to thank everyone who attended this holiday for their pleasant company and positive involvement with all the activities on offer over the 4 days. The general feedback has been very positive, particularly about the itinerary. We were blessed with more good weather than bad, so we should count ourselves lucky.
