Lyme Park is a vast estate in Disley, Cheshire, managed by the National Trust. It is situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It has a grand mansion with exquisite interiors. The origins of the house date back to the mid-16th century and financed by Sir Piers Legh VII. Being further developed in the 18th and 19th centuries, to what you see today.

The mansion doubled as "Pemberley," the home of Mr D'arcy, in the 1995 BBC production of "Pride and Prejudice." This beautiful house is surrounded by formal gardens, moorland and a deer park. It is hoped that we can arrange a walk in the parkland, for those who want to join us.

The cost is £37 for non-National Trust members and £18.50 for members. ☆ Remember to bring your N/T card with you.☆

The trip can be booked and paid for in person at any meeting. It can also be booked by using the Organiser blue link above and paid for by BACS. (please see the how to pay box on the Interesting Buildings Group page). Please use the referece 'IBJuly 2026'.
