Have you been wondering what to try out when the U3a returnsin September?

Did you used to sing at school or in a choir, then why not come along on Monday 2nd September at 1-30pm to Toll Bar with Prescot UR Churcn in Freckleton Road and consider joining the Mixed choir. We are always looking for new members especially gentlemen.

So why not come along, have a listen , have a sing to see if you like us. We are starting to look at the music for our Christmas concert so everyone will be in the learning stage.

URGENT The mixed choir are looking for men to come along and join us. There must be some men out there who can sing or used to sing even if it was only in church. Due to illness we are now short of tenors and bass. There is No Audition, If you know of anyone who enjoys singing please let them know.

The Summer Concert was a great success

"I was fortunate enough to be able to see the u3a Choir perform at the Christmas Concert at the St Helens Town Hall last December. I sat in the audience and thoroughly enjoyed listening to all the songs and thought to myself – ‘I would love to be in this Choir’ – so here I am three months later.

I have been greatly welcomed into this Group both by Neil, Group Leader, and all the Members in the Group. It is a priviledge and pleasure to be able to sing with the u3a Choir some of the loveliest melodies of the decades 60s, 70s and 80s music. The Choir will be performing in two concerts throughout the year which I am really looking forward to.I am so pleased that I have found something I really enjoy and look forward to meeting up with this Group each week who are now slowly becoming my friends."
