In the years the group has been running we have read, discussed, criticised, and applauded a range of novels(typically three per year)and at times battled our way through the miseries of 19th century life whilst gaining a deeper understanding of the social history of the day. However, our meetings are lively with a range of views being expressed. Most importantly there is lots of laughter too!

We returned on 7^th Sept. The first Novel we're reading is The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte which we'll finish in January 2027, followed by Passage to India by E.M.Forster. If time, we hope to read two further novels, Riceyman Steps by Arnold Bennett and a novel by Ernest Hemingway.-title of which is yet to be decided.
