In the years the group has been running we have read, discussed, criticised, and applauded a range of novels(typically three per year)and at times battled our way through the miseries of 19th century life whilst gaining a deeper understanding of the social history of the day. However, our meetings are lively with a range of views being expressed. Most importantly there is lots of laughter too!

Our novels for 2025-2026 are'The Way We Live Now' by Anthony Trollope (finishing about March) and The 'Custom of The Country' 'by Edith Wharton.
