This is no longer a group for beginners, so a good knowledge of German is essential. The emphasis is on speaking the language but we also do listening, reading and writing exercises, translation and grammar work. Skills are further developed by performing role plays, conducting interviews, solving puzzles, singing songs, playing language games, etc... . We use a range of authentic materials such as news items, articles about German life and culture, video clips and readers/short stories.

Members of the group have so far had four enjoyable trips to Germany, staying in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Dresden.
