Historic Pub Walk - Friday, 5th June

Event type: Social
Date: 5th June 2026
Organiser:

Join us for our upcoming Historic Pub Walk on Friday, 5th May. It is a great chance to enjoy some historic and interesting pubs (some could say eccentric), good conversation and a relaxed time together.

This will be our second walk and it is centred around the Hope Street area. It said that a ley-line runs the length of Hope Street. Ley-lines are allegedly straight lines of strong spiritual energy which align ancient worship sites or holy places. Many people believe that this is the reason why builders and planners of both cathedrals were drawn to this location in the city.

We will be visiting three pubs: Peter Kavanaghs, Ye Cracke and the Philharmonic Dining Rooms. Each pub is unique and contain interesting architecture and artefacts.

Further details as to meeting etc. will be in the weekly newsletter in the next couple of weeks.
